Getting Started
How do I add my first employee?
Navigate to the Employees section and click "Add Employee". Fill in the required information including name, hire date, and department.
Can I bulk upload employees?
Yes, you can use the bulk upload feature to import multiple employees via CSV file. Make sure your CSV follows the required format.
Grant Management
How do I create a stock option grant?
Go to the Grants section and click "Add Grant". Select an employee, enter grant details, and configure the vesting schedule. The system will automatically calculate the Black-Scholes fair value.
What vesting schedules are supported?
Daftar supports immediate vesting, cliff vesting, and periodic vesting (monthly, quarterly, annually). You can also create custom vesting schedules.
Can I edit an existing grant?
Yes, you can edit grants by clicking on them and selecting "Edit Grant". Changes will trigger a recalculation of the Black-Scholes fair value.
Black-Scholes Calculations
How does the Black-Scholes calculation work?
The system uses the standard Black-Scholes model to calculate the fair value of stock options. It considers stock price, exercise price, time to expiration, volatility, risk-free rate, and dividend yield.
Can I adjust the calculation parameters?
Yes, you can modify volatility, risk-free rate, expected life, and dividend yield. The system will recalculate the fair value automatically when parameters change.
Are the calculations compliant with ASC 718?
Yes, the Black-Scholes implementation follows ASC 718 guidelines for stock-based compensation accounting.
Reports & Analytics
What reports are available?
Daftar provides expense reports by cost type and department, vesting schedule reports, Black-Scholes analysis, employee grant summaries, and ASC 718 compliance reports.
Can I export data?
Yes, you can export all data to CSV format for external analysis and reporting. Use the export functionality in the Reports section.
